About

Jim Sherris was born in Chicago, Illinois, and raised in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Jim Sherris received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Florida. He also received a Masters Degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Florida College of Architecture. Subsequently, he received his Juris Doctor from Barry School of Law, Orlando where he was Lead Article Editor of the Barry Law Review, and Training and Coaching Committee Chairman of the Moot Court Board. While in law school, he clerked for law firms, handling cases dealing with family law, personal injury defense, personal injury, medical malpractice, contract law, and product liability.  Mr. Sherris also completed the American Association for Justice’s Depositions College program in Birmingham, Alabama, and the Trial Advocacy College: Essentials of Civil Litigation program in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Mr. Sherris is a licensed member of the Florida Bar and he is admitted to practice law in Federal Court, in the Middle District of Florida.  He is a member of the American Association for Justice, the Florida Justice Association, the American Bar Association, and the Orange County Bar Association.  He is also a member of the Federal Bar Association and the National Organization of Social Security Claimants Representatives.

His legal experience focuses mainly on Personal Injury litigation, Bankruptcy, Social Security Disability claims, and Veteran’s Disability. He handles cases dealing with auto accident liability, product liability, strict liability for dog bites, product liability, construction liability, and premises liability issues. He also handles all Social Security and V.A. Disability claims in the State of Florida.

He speaks Greek fluently and is proficient in Spanish.
